Marcus Leadbetter is an Australian based author, born in Sydney and now living in Brisbane. He is currently enrolling in the University of Queensland’s bachelor of arts course with an extended major in creative writing, after taking a gap year to finish his first manuscript Force the Heart to Swallow Magic.

He likes obsessing over the colour, how to perfectly match one of his tarot cards to his new reads, where those new reads will fit on his shelf, and what figures he should display in front of those books. He uses that obsession to also work as a freelance artist and pay for his car which he has an unhealthily obsessive relationship with, and to try and paint the best background for whatever scene he’s writing.
